UK Football Stadiums

old traffordFootball stadiums around the UK are not necessarily the world’s most impressive but the do the job! Stadiums such as Old Trafford are mind blowing in a similar way to the San Siro or the Nou Camp but smaller clubs such as Barnet boast far more modest grounds that offer loads of atmosphere even if they don’t offer so much protection from the elements!

The beauty of attending football matches in the lower leagues of the English football leagues is that the atmosphere available is out of this world. Toilets may be rustic compared to the Emirates Stadium and the hot dogs may be ten times cheaper than those on offer at Wembley but the crowds are something well worth seeing.

Old Trafford has the largest capacity of all grounds in the UK and hold more than 80,000 people. Stamford Bridge will likely enjoy a revamp in the near future and Liverpool’s ground Anfield is constantly under speculation about being done up or left behind in favour for a whole new stadium that may be shared with local rivals Everton who currently play at Goodison Park.

Villa Park is where Aston Villa play their home games and this ground is often used by other teams looking to play games on neutral territory in games in the FA Cup or Carling Cup.

The seats at football stadiums are never the most comfortable unless you are fortunate enough to be seated in a box seat or in the dugout with the team!
